    • Go back and systematically strengthen their fundamentals.

    Customized Homework Help Sessions

These sessions are designed to help a child during the school year. They are designed to provide homework help and interactive instruction for the material the student is currently studying, using the student’s own school’s material.

    • Elementary School
    • Middle School

    Reading Tutoring

We can help your child discover the joy of reading. We have an excellent curriculum to help your child master phonics and decode words with common blends, digraphs and inflected endings. We will also familiarize them with sight words common to their grade level. In addition, we can also work on reading comprehension skills.

Early Learning for Ages 4 to First Grade

Please refer to our Early Learning page for details regarding our tutoring options and group classes in reading and math.

    Methodology

We teach in a very interactive style, keeping the child engaged and motivated. We believe in building a firm foundation and good habits. We believe in involving a child in the process of arriving at an answer. This way, the child owns the methodology and understands the “why?” We also like to teach the children “how?” to present their work on paper systematically in order to help them organize their thoughts and minimize careless errors. Please visit our Philosphy page for more details.

We not only believe in preparing the child academically, but also feel it is essential to build a child’s confidence through positive feedback and encouragement.

    A Strong Foundation Today… A Limitless Tomorrow!

Here you can see how a strong foundation allows even the youngest of children to quickly grasp advanced topics in math.

    Curriculum Aligns with School District

When possible, we like to use the same workbooks/materials as used by the child’s school so the child is best prepared to meet their teacher’s expectations.

We are able to use the curriculum of your choice, based on your individual goals.

    Progress Reports and Guidance

We believe that parental support is a key component in a child’s success and we like to keep you updated on your child’s progress and share with you any recommendations to further help your child succeed. We are there to help you meet your goals for your child.

    Motivational Rewards

We keep the children motivated with stickers, stamps, and certificates. Parents are welcome to participate in this as well. By using a combination rewards system between the tutor and the parents, the children feel even more motivated and it automatically increases parental involvement. Simple rewards like “If you get 5 stars, you get to choose a board game to play with your dad,” are effective and a way for everyone to stay connected and make the entire process more fun.

    Free Consultation

We would like to understand your goals for your child and their needs so we can best serve you.

    No Assessment Fee

We do not charge an assessment fee.

Children feel unnecessarily pressured and don’t always perform to their ability level during a formal assessment. We feel it also sets the wrong tone for tutoring. We want them to view tutoring as an asset to them and not as another place they have to perform.

We base our starting point off of our conversation with you and any feedback you can provide us from school teachers. The more information you can provide us, the better. We get started based on your information and your goals for your child and are able to automatically assess the child as we work with them during the tutoring sessions.

We don’t like to make decisions based on answers on a sheet of paper. During the sessions, the tutor is able to work with your child and pinpoint the reason why they are having trouble with a particular type of problem and dynamically alter the curriculum to your child’s exact needs. We feel it is imperative to understand the child’s actual thought process in order to accurately assess their needs.

    No Upfront Supply Fee

No upfront supplies fees for second grade and above. The cost of supplies, if any, will just be based on the actual cost of the curriculum/materials we mutually decide to use for your child.

Any specially purchased supplies cannot be refunded.

    Above and Beyond…

We not only dedicate ourselves during the session times with the student, but we go above and beyond. We use our personal time to prepare in advance for each session, keep parents informed via email and also take the time to communicate with the students’ teachers. We believe in fostering an integrated team environment to support each student and we work hard to make that happen.
